First off why don't they ship this thing pre-assembled? Instead they ship it where you have to rig it like a sailboat main sail. After this fiasco where the cloth was all dirty from laying on the ground it took about 10 mins to get it situated where it belonged. Once we did that it was even more difficult to raise it. I know that once its rigged up that it is very easy to pop up but the initial setup was a real bear.Ok, now its put together and every time I take it down and put it up it is truly EzUp! To be honest it can be put up by 1 person. I have seen it done several times. Its safer to have 2 people though especially if you are opening it on grass. Reason being is when you pop it up if one of the corners snag it can bend the whole frame out of whack. Take your time and you should not have any problems or break anything. With hands exactly where they were supposed to be in order to get the thing up, nothing was happening. So, we applied a little more pulling out and pop! One of the frame pieces snapped right in half! I needed the shelter for a show that weekend, so contacting the company would have to wait. We still struggled and struggled to get the thing up (and my husband is a fit, muscly guy who works out daily). We used duct tape as a quick fix, but the shelter still seemed to buckle in that area. So cheaply made and not easy to put up at all!!! |
