| 7 of 7 people found the following review helpful  Great Case!, This review is from: SKB Electric Bass Rectangular Hardshell - TSA Latch, Over-Molded Handle (Electronics) When I purchased a Fender Highway One Jazz Bass, I needed a good hard-shell case to protect the satin finish of the Highway One series. I've never trusted gig bags for proper protection of instruments. The first hard-shell case I considered was the Fender non-rectangular ABS case molded roughly to the shape of the instrument. It had minimal storage space, standard metal fasteners, an awkward body-heavy balance when carried by the handle, and the bass just barely fit into the case. The salesperson and I both realized the bass lay at an awkward angle with the neck resting high on a raised "neck slot cutout" preventing the bass from laying flat in the case. This angle caused the headstock to have pressure placed against it by the case lid when closed and placed pressure against the neck when stored - not good!I then tried out this SKB-44 case. It has a long "neck ramp" supporting the entire length of the neck in addition to a nice body cutout that keeps the bass from moving...
